	Fakhia Rashid
	As the Executive Director Ms. Fakhia Rashid leads the execution of HDF’s operating as well as strategic plan. She is responsible for overseeing the orderly growth of HDF, monitoring results, and facilitating relationships with key stakeholders. Ms. Rashid was inspired to join HDF after experiencing firsthand the passion and zeal of HDF’s supporters and aspired to contribute towards a movement for a positive social change and community empowerment while impacting hundreds of thousands of lives in Pakistan. She brings together a blend of experience in the Public Policy arena and organizational development skills. Since February 2007 Ms. Rashid successfully led the development efforts of the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU) and helped it to exceed fundraising and operational goals. She managed fundraising, marketing, outreach, and overall grant acquisition process at ISPU. Ms Rashid completed her Undergraduate studies at Lake Forest College with a BA in Economics and International Relations. She went on to the University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy and obtained a Masters in Public Policy focusing on International Policy and Development. During her time at University of Chicago, Ms. Rashid also took on Research Assistant roles in the field of health care. In addition, she has worked as a Research Assistant to Cherif Bassiouni at the International Human Rights Law Institute, DePaul University, and Joseph Margulies at the University of Chicago Law School. She was also a Project Coordinator at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce where she led planning, logistics, marketing, and out-reach activities for the International Business Resource Committee She and her husband, Nouman Raja, have a daughter and reside in Illinois.

	Fatima Hussain
	Fatima is project manager for community outreach services for HDF North America. She has been with HDF since 2004. Fatima works to maintain relationship with our generous donors, manages communication with HDF community. She has a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Marketing and Management.

	Nadia is finance and Human Resources manager for HDF North America operations. She has been with HDF since 2006. Nadia is responsible for annual audits, regulatory compliance, and daily financial operations management. Nadia posses an M.Phil in Economics.

Sajjad Asghar (IL)…Treasurer Dr. Sajjad Asghar is a physician by profession and has been in the United States for 24 years. He has been a volunteer at HDF for the past nine years, and he has served on the Board of Directors for the past two. He is happily married to a physician and has one son and two daughters. He is a part of the HDF family because of his deep desire to empower the less fortunate in Pakistan. Dr. Asghar serves as a Board of Trustee for IMAMI, a religious organization.

Javed Khan (CA) Javed Khan founded Jeskell, Inc. in 1991 to provide IT solutions—based on IBM products—to the federal government market. Under his leadership, the company has been consistently profitable and now serves federal/state/local government agencies, higher education, and the commercial sector nationwide. Before starting the company, Mr. Khan spent five years with IBM sales. His career also includes nine years with General Electric as a Senior Program Manager. Mr. Khan holds an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.

Shahid Khan (CA) Shahid Khan started to volunteer for HDF in 2004; he has participated in three high turn-out Silicon Valley HDF benefit dinners since 2004. Shahid is a marketing professional marketing for software and hardware products. His marketing consultancy company FastROI.biz, helps businesses grow their world presence and achieve rapid returns on marketing investments. Previously he managed $159M product line for Synopsys. Shahid holds an MS in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.

M. Khalid Riaz (IL) Dr. Muhammad Khalid Riaz did his MBBS from King Edwards Medical University and is a practicing cardiologist in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Sherman Hospital is one of largest networks of medical care facilities in the far northwest Chicago suburbs, USA. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physician. Dr. Riaz has served as President Medical Staff, Sherman Hospital, Elgin in 1993 and was also on the Board of Directors of Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He is ex-president and member of Association of Physicians of Pakistani-descent of North America (APPNA). He has served as treasurer, secretary, and president of APPNA, an association that deals with 5,000 physicians, surgeons, and dentists in North America. He was in the core group that started the health program under the banner of APPNA SEHAT. He was also one of the founding members of Human Development Foundation North America and Human Development Foundation Pakistan. Dr. Riaz’s efforts as a community worker and social activist are highly appreciated and his name has been included in first edition of “The 500 most influential Muslims 2009” book published by Georgetown University's The Prince Alwaleed Bin Talaal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre.

Mr. Jafer Hasnain (IL) Senior Vice President and US Large Cap Growth Portfolio Manager Mr. Hasnain joined Alliance Capital in 1994 after working as a strategist with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets for two years. Previously he was an international economist with Citicorp for a year and spent two years as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. He holds a Sc.B. in Computer Science from Brown University, an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge, and studied towards a doctorate at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Mr. K.G. (Gus) Ahmad…President He is the current president of HDF Canada, arrived in Canada 40 years ago completing his Masters in Geology in 1969 from the University of Alberta and settling his family in Edmonton. He has since served on a number of committees and boards throughout the city of Edmonton as well as a senator for the University of Alberta. Recently, Mr. Ahmad was awarded the esteemed “Order of Alberta” honoring his exemplary services in the volunteer and community sector in the Province. Mr. Gus Ahmad established the HDF Canada charter in July 2005.

Dr. Abrar Ali Syed is a small animal veterinarian, and has lived in the United States for the past 32 years. He is happily married to his wife, Syeeda, and they have two sons and two daughters. Dr. Syed has been a volunteer since HDF’s beginnings 10 years ago, and he has been on the Board of Directors for the past six. He is a member of the American Veterinarian Medical Association (AVMA) as well as, a founder and ex-president of the Islamic Center, Wayland, MA. Dr. Syed is a part of the HDF family because he feels obligated to help people in need and he believes that HDF is the best way to help the Pakistan community.

He is a retired General Officer of Pakistan Army who possesses vast experience of command and staff as well as educational spheres. He is Ex-Managing Director Fauji Foundation (A welfare trust for Ex-service men) and is currently Chairman of “Help Care Society” (a not for profit organization), which is involved in quality education for the poor children of Pakistan. He is member of Board of Director of HDF-Pakistan.
