Hope of a Better Tomorrow

Living in Gracy Ground, Sawat, Ayesha was surrounded by the love and affections of her family, friends and neighbors. From her school to home and with friends in the evening, her life had a set pattern about it. With the future bright and clear before her eyes, she studied diligently and enjoyed all that life had to offer.

But for the last few months, her life has taken a turn for the worse. With her village under siege by the Taliban and the people forced to succumb to their ways, she was a hostage in her own home. And today, forced even to leave the sanctuary of her home, she is living under the open sky, wondering what went wrong.

Her present is in shambles and future seems as dark as the night sky above. Will she be able to go back to her past life, to pursue her goals and dreams of the future and to live with the dignity that should be afforded to all citizens of a free nation? Can we help?
