With the aim to inspire civil society in Pakistan to become more active and to foster strong relations between civil society organizations working for national uplift, Human Development Foundation (HDF) has announced Excellence Awards 2009. This aim was announced by HDF’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Azhar Saleem, while addressing a press conference on September 16th, 2009.

After a brief introduction to HDF, Mr. Saleem announced that the awards were being conferred on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of HDF in Pakistan. This event was also aimed at providing recognition to the extra ordinary services rendered by individuals and organizations in the development sector.
