Human Development Foundation (HDF) in collaboration with Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL) has decided to create a model of community development under the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). A few villages in union council (UC) Ghaggar Bin Qasim town, Karachi, have been picked. The hope is that this one unit would inspire other industrial units in the area to join the effort.

HDF has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with FFBL with the aim of transforming UC Ghaggar Bin Qasim Town, Karachi, into a model UC following the Human Development concept. Azhar Saleem, Chief Executive Officer, HDF and Brig (R) Arjmand Iqbal Janjua, Divisional Manager HCM, FFBL signed this MOU on July 1, 2010 at Islamabad.

During this 5 year collaborated program, a holistic approach of integrated programs will be followed. These programs will include Social Mobilization, Education, Health and the creation of Sustainable Environment.
