While our primary focus is the delivery of our Holistic Model in our existing program areas, from time to time circumstances dictate the development of special projects. Having a highly trained staff of over 700 on the ground, uniquely positions HDF as a first responder in the face of natural disaster. In addition to Disaster Relief, HDF’s experience and long standing reputation of exceptional quality makes us a preferred partner for many collaborative projects with international organizations like the World Food Programme, UNDP and UN FAO as well as corporate organizations like Met Life Alico.

Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation

HDF has extensive local disaster management experience due to its work during the 2000 Drought and 2005 Earthquake and the 2010 Flood. We do not believe in a band-aid approach to problem solving, even in the face of disaster. We approach all our programs in a strategic manner, with a focus on community ownership and long-term sustainability.
